Mishkas is a coffee shop in Davis, CA that was established in 1995 to create a warm and friendly meeting place akin to the old European cafes. We succeeded in our intent with Mishkas becoming a de facto hub of downtown Davis. We certainly hope that at least some of this success is owed to the big black friendly cat that lent the cafe its name.

We have been roasting only FairTrade Organic coffee for 25 years. In our pursuit of great coffee, we have never wavered from our commitment to buying only sustainably grown beans. For us, sustainable coffee means that it is not only free of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides but also that the farmers who grow the beans are paid decent living wages.

In addition to the traditional black, green, white, oolong and herbal teas, we serve over a dozen of our own unique tea blends.

Mishkas pastries are mostly made in-house by our own pastry chef Allison Biggs who came to us via Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco.
